Are
progressive (no-line) lenses difficult to get used to?
Becoming
accustomed to any new lens design can take some time. It is
a very individual experience due to differing habits and lifestyles.
Discuss your concerns with our certified opticians. They will
guide you through your options and let you know what to expect
both before and after you get your new glasses.
When
will I receive my new glasses?
Iowa
Eye Center Optical does offer same day service on some prescriptions.
We will do our best to get your glasses to you when you request.
Some lens options do take longer than others and we will not
sacrifice quality. Each pair of glasses passes through several
inspections before you are notified for your final fitting.

What
types of frames do you carry?
Iowa
Eye Center Optical offers the most diverse product line in
our area. Whether for an adult or child our experienced opticians
will help you select which frames will work best for you after
considering your prescription, lifestyle, occupation and hobbies.
We also carry full lines of sunglasses, sport frames, swim
goggles and masks, and safety glasses. New frames come in
daily. Stop in to see the latest!
Can
scratches be buffed out of plastic lenses?
Even
as advanced as today's technology is, there is no way to resurface
a scratched lens without damaging the quality and safety of
the prescription.

How
do I clean my glasses?
Warm
water and lens cleaner are the best to clean lenses and frames.
Lenses should be dried with a soft CLOTH rather than any paper
product. Iowa Eye Center Optical has an Ultrasonic Cleaner
and Eurobaths Cleaners to clean those difficult areas between
the lenses and frame and around the nosepads.
What
are polarized sun lenses?
On
a daily basis we encounter glare from light bouncing off of
flat surfaces like water, snow or pavement. This glare interferes
with our vision and fatigues our eyes. Polarized lenses provide
glare free vision which is critical for driving, fishing,
golfing, boating and skiing. Iowa Eye Center Optical has polarized
sample lenses for you to SEE THE DIFFERENCE!
